Jordyn Wood (they/she) is a queer theatre artist living and working on the traditional ancestral territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, in so-called “Vancouver”. Their practice has been intentionally varied, jumping from devising to playwriting to directing to curating and producing. Their written work negotiates the line of autobiography and fiction, using imagined subplots and scenarios in the service of a search for self.

They hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Simon Fraser University's School of Contemporary Arts in the Theatre Performance stream, where they directed, collaborated, and performed as part of several productions, including producing a directed work for the LIVE ACTS Festival. Their work has also been featured by rEvolver Festival’s Updraft Staged Readings, Or Festival, PTC’s Block A Program, and Vines Art Festival’s Emerging Creatives.

Jordyn is currently the Assistant Arts Administrator for Realwheels Theatre, and has worked as Production Assistant on several Theatre Replacement productions including Do You Mind If I Sit Here?, Best Life, and Through My Lens. They are also a part of The Cultch’s Youth Program as Assistant Coordinator for the IGNITE! Youth-Driven Arts Festival, helping to curate and produce the 2021, 2022, and 2023 festivals.
